I am very pleased to introduce you to Magdalena Gempeler! Magdalena, was born in Gaastad Bern Switzerland in August 1869. She stitched this beautiful sampler when she was 14, in 1883. It was stitched 2 over 2 with a cotton thread. This design is a reproduction of Magdalena's original sampler. I also designed four smalls, inspired by the motifs in the original sampler, with a little bit of my imagination. You can certainly choose to stitch the sampler or smalls in different colors of your choice. (I'm sure Maggie wouldn't mind.)
